I have strong opinions on the number of satellites overhead these days. The only way to avoid them in night photos now is to take photos approximately perpendicular to the direction of moonlight. The satellites (pictured here) reflect the moonlight. So you can infer from the picture that the moon is behind me to illuminate the peak.
